I was nominated for my first award!!! Kay from Hammock of Books nominated me for the Liebster Award ❤ Kay is a fellow book blogger and a lovely, lovely person. If you’re not already following her, you should be!

The Liebster Award recognizes new blogs to help bloggers get discovered.

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Answer the nominator’s 11 questions.
  • Come up with your own set of 11 questions to be answered by the nominees.
  • Nominate 11 bloggers of your choosing

Kay’s Questions

1. Who are your three favorite book protagonists? Sherlock Holmes, Merricat Blackwood (is she considered a protagonist…?), and Sirius Black.

2. Who are your three favorite book antagonists? Mr. Hyde, Ursula Monkton, and Hill House.

3. Who are your three favorite book love interests? This is actually a tough one cause I don’t read a lot of books with romances in them. But let’s see… Ron + Hermione, Aragorn + Arwen, aaaaand Dorian Gray + himself, lol.

4. Kiss, marry, kill the characters from #1. Haha, oh man, I haven’t played KMK in forever. Uhhhh, kiss Holmes, marry Sirius, and kill Merricat (sorry, girl).

5. Kiss, marry, kill the characters from #2. Eesh. Hm. Kiss Ursula Monkton, marry Hyde (maybe he’ll be Jekyll most of the time…), and kill Hill House.

6. Kiss, marry, kill the characters from #3. Do I do the pairs? I’ll just do the pairs. Kiss R+H, mary A+A, and kill Dorian.

41mN6FBCVGL._SX316_BO1,204,203,200_7. Favorite book covers? I’ve always loved the cover on my German copy of A Clockwork Orange. It’s just so colorful and neat looking!

8. Least favorite book covers? Movie covers. All of them. I’ve passed up books I wanted just cause there were only movie cover versions available. Which is funny because my one copy of The Lord of the Rings collection is a movie cover. But I’ve had that since I was in middle school, so. That’s different.

9. Favorite thing to do that isn’t reading? Blogging! And writing in general.

10. Favorite place to read? While I hate sitting on my couch cause it hurts my back after a while, I love lying on it to read. It’s super comfy for that.

11. Favorite genre to read? Is dytopian a genre?? I also love gothic horror, dark comedies, fantasy… it really just depends on what I’m in the mood for at the time.

My Questions

1. If you could go on an adventure with one book character, who would it be?

2. Do you prefer reading inside or outside, and why?

3. Do you use book lights?

4. Do you prefer thick books or thin ones?

5. Stubborn, uncompromising characters or soft, yielding characters?

6. Do you like reading books in one sitting or spacing them out over a few days/weeks?

7. Do you take notes or highlight favorite passages in your books?

8. Used books or new books?

9. Do you break the spine?

10. Why did you get into blogging?

11. What are your favorite and least favorite things about blogging?

  1. Dorian Gray + Dorian Gray. Hah love that! Ah yes a true love that expands beyond everything we can comprehend! And for him to think that he was in love with Sybil Vane (I’m thinking that it was a purposeful move on the author’s side to give her a name that sounds Vain like Dorian) LOL

Also congratulations and thanks so much for nominating me ❤️❤️❤️
