This tag was created by Margaret @ Weird Zeal, who has challenged bloggers to complete 7 Harry Potter themed posts over the next 7 days. I wasn’t tagged, but I came across it on karisbooks‘ blog, and I just couldn’t pass this fun tag up. So let’s start celebrating with day 2!

Day 2: Rank the Books/Movies

Books — Best to Worst

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Sirius ❤

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
So much character development — and sectumsempra! 💉

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Sirius 😥

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
I always fly through this one — so good and innocent 😇

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Every time I re-read the series, I stop halfway through this one — idk why! 🏆

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
I always lose momentum at this one 🐍

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Too much heartbreak and that damn awful epilogue 😒

Movies — Best to Worst

I’m gonna be totally honest, guys: I haven’t watched the movies enough times to accurately rank them. I’ve seen the first one quite a bit, but most of the others I’ve only seen twice. I’M SORRY.

  1. This is like, the hardest thing to rank haha. 😀 I mostly agree with your order, though I’d put the chamber last, and hallows up up, as I like how things got dark starting with phoenix, and the books I love the most are those with character deaths, I think I’m sick. 😂 And totally agree the epilogue was gross. 😑

    1. It was SO hard! Especially cause it’s been a while since I’ve read them. Ugh yes, I love the dark books. Hahaha I love the deaths too (I just like to FEEL), but I’ve only read DH… once? maybe twice? I always try to re-read the series and then drop off around book 4.

  2. The Goblet of Fire will always be the worst one for me. I didn’t follow the book at all and had it did, it could have been one of the best movie to book adaptations. My poor boyfriend was so sad when I told him that because the GoF is his favorite HP movie.

      1. Yeah. I’ve had to learn to do the same because otherwise I just couldn’t sit and enjoy the movie. I did that for Ender’s Game. I still loved the movie but I much prefer the book.

      2. It’s pretty good! The first book is excellent and Ender’s Shadow is amazing. The rest of the books are kinda iffy but I can see why they were needed.
