Day 3: Top 7 Characters

Sirius Black — I will never forgive Harry for not keeping in better touch with Sirius. He just wants to connect with you, Harry! UGH! Sirius is such a great character. I love him so much. He tries so hard and cares for Harry so much. It makes me so sad that he had to spend so much time just waiting on Harry to contact him after they reconnected and the little prick never did. He spent all those years in Azkaban only to live in a cave with no contact from the one person he desperately wanted to hear from. I mean, come on, Harry. wtf.

Ron Weasley — Ron’s always been one of my favorites. Sure, he’s a little scaredy cat sometimes, and he’s a total idiot when it comes to Hermione, but I just love him to bits. Everyone always bitches about him being a butt to Hermione, but come on. Didn’t we all act like butts to our crushes when we were growing up? Same with him leaving in Deathly Hallows. He’s a teenage boy in the middle of an all-out war, ffs! Of course he’s going to do dumb things. That’s what makes him more real for me. Plus, I mean, just look at that cute little red-headed face.

Hermione Granger — This smart little witch right here! This girl is the bomb dot com! She always knows what’s up and has this insane love for learning that I respect so much. She’s so, SO smart and isn’t afraid to show it. She saves everyone’s asses so many times — when she was barely a teenager! She’s just so great in so many ways.

The Weasley family — How could anyone not love this family? Molly and Arthur are just the sweetest, most caring parents (and I just love Arthur’s obsession with muggle things), and their children are all amazing. I’m pretty impartial to Ginny (I blame the movies for ruining her for me), but the others are just so great. Even Percy. He tries. Sometimes.

Draco Malfoy — People hate Draco. I get it. He’s a little prick. I’m not denying that. But boy, just imagine being stuck in a world (and a family) that revolves around the Dark Lord and then being forced to murder the headmaster of your school — at age 16, no less. That’s some messed up shit right there. That’s why I like HP and the Half-Blood Prince so much. I love getting to see a different side of Draco and really see what he’s going through. He’s not just some pissy kid with a rich family. He’s dealing with some legitimately crazy stuff.

Luna Lovegood — How can anyone not love Luna? She’s so sweet and so uncaring about what everyone else thinks of her. She’s totally herself and completely okay with who she is. She’s strong and capable and the truest friend you could ever imagine having. I hate that she doesn’t have more friends at the start, that people tease her and bother her just because she’s a little strange. Just because she’s being herself.

Bellatrix Lestrange — I just really love a good bad guy. And that’s what Bellatrix is: a really, really bad guy (girl. whatever). She’s just so engrossed in Voldemort and lets her entire world revolve entirely around him. She doesn’t care who she has to harm or kill to give him what he wants, even if it means screwing her own family over. She knows what she wants and will do whatever she has to do to get it. She’s just unapologetically evil, and I love it. You do you, Bellatrix. You do you.
